Our technician collaborates with in-shop estimators to blueprint and assess claim damage for necessary repairs, dismantles the vehicle, conducts repairs, replaces parts as needed, and reassembles it after painting. All repairs adhere to factory and dealership specifications and utilize a range of tools, including hand tools, power tools, and spray-painting equipment. The technician also performs dealer prep work. We take pride in our state-of-the-art facility staffed by certified technicians.

Responsibilities

  • Stay informed about the latest repair methods and techniques for vehicles sold and serviced by the dealership.
  • Conduct all body and fender repairs in line with estimates and make necessary supplements.
  • Execute tasks as detailed on the repair order with efficiency and precision.
  • Carry out welding, soldering, body alignment, and oxidizing operations.
  • Diagnose malfunctions and perform the required repairs. Liaise with the parts department to procure necessary components.
  • Inspect vehicles to identify any additional safety or service needs.
  • Inform the Body Shop Manager if further work is required. Apply basic math skills to calculate chemical mixtures.
  • Adhere to factory and dealership protocols when conducting warranty work.
  • Label and store all parts related to warranty.
  • Stay updated with the latest technical bulletins, service manuals, and other publications.
  • Participate in factory-sponsored training sessions and stay current with technical bulletins.
  • Safely and effectively operate all Body Shop equipment.
  • Keep the work stall tidy and organized. Exercise judicious use of company materials and supplies.
  • Undertake light painting tasks if qualified and as needed by the Manager.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of customer vehicles.
  • Record all completed work promptly.
  • Comply with federal, state, and local regulations, including hazardous waste disposal.
  • Obtain management approval and create a Repair Order before performing any personal vehicle work.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Past experience required
  • Completion of vocational program preferred, but not required
  • Able to work in fast-paced environment
  • Good communication skills
  • Good organizational skills
  • Clean and valid driver’s license
