The Sales Associate at Madera Chevrolet/Madera Toyota is tasked with fostering and preserving positive customer relationships to meet sales goals. This position demands outstanding communication, in-depth product knowledge, and superior customer service abilities to deliver an unparalleled automobile purchasing experience.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Welcome and assist customers professionally and cordially, offering swift and precise details about vehicles, pricing, and promotions.
  • Perform an in-depth needs analysis to grasp the customer’s specifications and preferences.
  • Highlight the features and advantages of different Chevrolet/Toyota models, detailing technical specifications, performance, and safety attributes.
  • Provide outstanding customer service by swiftly and effectively resolving any questions or issues related to the products.
  • Conduct test drives to ensure customers’ comfort and satisfaction with potential vehicle choices.
  • Negotiate pricing and financing options, ensuring transparency and adherence to dealership policies and guidelines.
  • Collaborate with the Sales Manager to develop and implement effective sales strategies to meet or exceed monthly sales targets.
  • Utilize sales techniques to overcome objections and close sales deals effectively.
  • Continuously stay up to date with Chevrolet/Toyota product knowledge, including new releases, features, and competitive advantages.
  • Prepare required paperwork accurately and efficiently for the sales process, ensuring all legal and regulatory requirements are met.
  • Follow up with customers post-purchase to ensure satisfaction and encourage referrals.
  • Participate in sales meetings, training programs, and workshops to enhance selling skills and product knowledge.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to maintain a clean, organized, and presentable showroom and lot.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitors, and market conditions to provide valuable market insights to management.
  • Uphold dealership ethics and integrity, adhering to all company policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; college degree in business or related field is preferred.
  • Proven sales experience, preferably in the automotive industry.
  • Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent negotiation and persuasion abilities.
  • Solid understanding of sales principles, techniques, and processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Proficient computer skills with experience in CRM systems and MS Office.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Working Conditions:

The Sales Associate’s primary workplace will be a dealership setting, involving regular engagement with customers and fellow sales staff. The position entails frequent standing, walking, and the occasional lifting of sales materials. Availability during some weekends and evenings may be necessary to meet customer requirements.
