Fox Valley Auto Group is in search of an energetic and seasoned Automotive General Manager to oversee our dealership operations at the St. Charles Volkswagen location. The perfect candidate will possess a robust background in automotive sales, finance, and management, coupled with a demonstrated history of enhancing profitability and elevating customer satisfaction. The position demands exceptional leadership qualities, sharp business insight, and a fervent commitment to providing outstanding service within the automotive sector.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve dealership objectives in sales, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
• Team Management: Lead and motivate a team of department managers and staff to ensure cohesive teamwork and high performance across all departments including sales, service, parts, and finance.
• Sales and Business Development: Oversee sales operations, set sales goals, and monitor performance metrics. Implement effective sales strategies to maximize revenue and market share.
• Customer Satisfaction: Maintain high standards of customer service and satisfaction. Resolve escalated customer issues promptly and effectively.
• Financial Management: Manage financial performance by monitoring budgets, expenses, and profitability. Analyze financial reports and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Inventory Management: Oversee inventory levels, pricing strategies, and vehicle merchandising to maximize inventory turnover and profitability.
• Compliance and Legal: Ensure compliance with dealership policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements.
• Vendor and Manufacturer Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with automotive manufacturers, vendors, and suppliers.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Automotive Management, or related field (preferred).
• Proven experience as a General Manager or similar leadership role in the automotive industry.
• Strong understanding of automotive sales, finance, and service operations.
• Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
• Strategic thinker with strong analytical abilities and business acumen.
• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and dealership management software.
