The role of the Automotive Controller involves supervising all facets of accounting and financial reporting within the dealership. The ideal candidate will be meticulous and systematic, capable of handling daily accounting tasks, ensuring adherence to financial laws, and aiding in the financial well-being of the company.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare the monthly financial statement in accordance with dealership guidelines and the manufacturer’s format and timeline.
• Collaborate with the management of the assigned dealership(s) to ensure that the store(s) operate to achieve the planned profit, return on investment, and equity.
• Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of expenses across dealership operations and help employees comprehend these expenses.
• Maintain complete, accurate, and current accounting records for the dealership(s)’ sales, purchases, and other financial transactions, adhering to generally accepted accounting principles.
• Ensure timely tax reporting and payments.
• Establish and uphold an efficient cash management system.

Qualifications:

• Cultivate a positive and cooperative work environment.
• Hold a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or possess equivalent work experience.
• Have prior experience in the automotive industry.
• Possess a robust understanding of generally accepted accounting principles, financial regulations, and industry standards.
• Demonstrate solid proficiency in accounting software, such as CDK and Microsoft Excel.
• Exhibit excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Maintain a strong commitment to accuracy.
