The role of the Automotive Controller involves supervising all facets of accounting and financial reporting within the dealership. The ideal candidate will be meticulous, well-organized, capable of handling daily accounting tasks, ensuring adherence to financial laws, and bolstering the company’s financial well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare monthly financial statements in accordance with dealership guidelines and the manufacturer’s prescribed format and timeline.
• Collaborate with the management of the assigned dealership(s) to guarantee that the store(s) operate in a manner that yields the anticipated profit, return on investment, and equity.
• Cultivate and sustain a comprehensive understanding of expenses across dealership operations and aid dealership staff in grasping these expenses.
• Maintain complete, precise, and current accounting records for the dealership(s)’ sales, purchases, and other financial transactions, adhering to generally accepted accounting principles.
• Ensure timely completion of all tax reports and payments.
• Establish and uphold an efficient cash management system.

Qualifications:

• Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent work experience.
• Previous automotive industry experience.
• Strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles, financial regulations, and industry standards.
• Solid skills in accounting software, including CDK and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
