In the role of Controller, you will offer comprehensive support to our local franchises in every facet of accounting and finance. Your meticulous attention to detail and astute financial management will be crucial to the sustained growth and stability of our franchises. Your efforts will contribute to making us the preferred destination for customers to buy or service their vehicles and the best place for our employees to work.

What Winning Looks Like:

  • Demonstrating a high Hospitality Quotient (HQ), which includes kindness, optimism, intellectual curiosity, work ethic, empathy, self-awareness, and integrity, is essential.
  • Leading the preparation of selected manufacturers’ financial statements and assisting the broader accounting department in preparing consolidated financial statements is also key.
  • Manage titling and registration of newly acquired vehicles.
  • Prepare dealer financial statement(s) in coordination with general accounting group.
  • Manage the Courtesy Vehicle Program (loaner fleet) and manufacturer incentive programs.
  • Compile monthly/quarterly balance sheet reconciliation schedules and operational reports.
  • Support our team and dealerships in establishing and applying financial discipline, cost management, and optimization strategies.
  • Work with executive management to track, report and collect manufacturer programs and performance incentives.
  • Assist with financing audits, development and audit reconciliation of inventory and sales.
  • Enhance cash flow through effective line-of-credit management.
  • Facilitate process development and modification, as well as technology deployment, to boost overall efficiency.
  • Provide support for ad-hoc projects and perform additional duties as needed.

Skills Needed to Win: 

  • A minimum of five years’ experience in accounting is required, with prior accounting experience in the automotive industry being essential.
  • Familiarity with Reynolds and Reynolds is highly desirable.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field is necessary, with an MBA or CPA certification being advantageous.
  • The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated individual driven by results and adept at problem-solving.
  • They should have a proven track record of building consensus, providing coaching, and thriving in a team setting.
  • Experience in audit and management accounting is also required, along with the capability to comprehend and analyze financial statements.
  • Ability to complete multiple projects on time with varying timelines and priorities.
  • Exceptional communication skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
  • Comfortable with operating multiple application systems.
  • Some domestic travel may be required.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
