Anderson Auto is excited to invite you to join our team as a Detailer. In this pivotal role, you’ll be responsible for ensuring the pristine condition of vehicles purchased and showcased on our lot. Your contributions are vital to the smooth operation and success of our business.

Essential Functions

• Prepares vehicles for sale by completing a variety of reconditioning tasks, such as interior detailing, upholstery cleaning, window cleaning, pre-washing, buffing, and quality control, in line with company procedures and customer service agreements.
• Inspects the quality of work before releasing vehicles to customers.
• Maintains equipment and facilities in good operating condition and notifies management of any breakdowns or maintenance needs.
• Promotes and practices teamwork within the department.
• Reports any mechanical problems immediately to the lot manager and/or sales manager.
• Maintains a safe, clean, and professional environment; always drives safely, wears a seat belt, and follows the 5 MPH speed limit on dealership property.
• Obtains manager approval before driving any company vehicle off the premises.
• Ensures customer satisfaction by performing work correctly the first time, preventing comebacks, and ensuring vehicles are thoroughly clean. Gives priority to all comebacks.
• Does not smoke in any vehicle or change the radio settings.
• If seats are adjusted, ensures they are returned to their prior position.
• Communicates with the Service Department when starting, interrupting, or finishing a job, and informs the Lot Manager and/or Service Manager of any issues.
• Performs all duties safely, reporting any accidents, injuries, or unsafe conditions to management immediately.
• Shows up on time, ready, and able to perform essential job functions as scheduled.
• Adheres to all company policies, procedures, and practices.
• Performs additional tasks as directed by management.

Required Education, Experience, and other Qualifications

• Preferably three years of licensed driving experience.
• A High School diploma or GED is advantageous.
• Prior experience in washing and detailing cars is desirable.
• Must hold a valid driver’s license and be capable of driving both standard and automatic transmissions.
• Requires a high level of attention to detail.
• Must be a hardworking, motivated team player.
• Accountable for the quality and quantity of work produced.
• Must be reliable, punctual, and dependable.
• Must be flexible with scheduling, including weekends and overtime as needed.
