Responsibilities and Qualifications:

The primary responsibility of the Finance & Insurance Manager is to oversee the financial transactions involved in the vehicle purchasing process for each customer at the dealership. They collaborate with lenders to secure bank approvals for car purchases, prepare the necessary financial documents, and advise the staff on DMV regulations.

  • Collaborate closely with the sales team and customers to facilitate the financial aspects of the car purchasing experience.
  • Develop strong relationships with customers to generate a referral network.
  • Provide consultation and sell finance and insurance warranties.
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of paperwork for title work and funding from financial institutions.
  • Meet monthly goals and deadlines for submitting customer paperwork to lenders and accounting departments.
  • Safeguard and manage customer funds during transactions and promptly deposit into accounting.
  • Comply with all local and national regulations, keeping the sales team informed of updated vehicle purchase laws.
  • Work with service advisors to offer extended warranties to customers.
  • Maintain strong relationships with customers, lenders, and vendors.
  • Deliver effective finance and insurance menu presentations to explain warranty options.
  • Support sales staff in clarifying financing and warranty details to customers.
  • Cultivate relationships with representatives from local and national banks and manufacturers, meeting them monthly.
  • Possess advanced skills in Microsoft Office and dealership management systems.
  • Maintain organization and attention to detail in a fast-paced setting.
  • Be a strategic thinker dedicated to finding solutions for customers.
  • Demonstrate self-motivation and teamwork. Understand DMV tag and title laws.
  • Have 1-3 years of experience as an automotive sales consultant.
  • Uphold a record of excellent customer service.
  • Pass pre-employment screenings, including background checks and Motor Vehicle Reports (MVR).
