We are in search of a General Sales Manager to become a part of our expanding team. The ideal candidate should be driven by goals and possess outstanding interpersonal and communication skills. They will be accountable for the sales department’s overall success and will provide leadership and direction to the team members.

Responsibilities

• Oversee profitability in both new and used vehicle sectors.
• Craft and implement a strategic plan to meet monthly and yearly projections for new and used vehicle divisions.
• Recruit, train, and evaluate the performance of sales managers, finance managers, and sales associates.
• Ensure excellent customer service (CSI) is a staple of the dealership’s culture.
• Monitor key sales metrics daily and adjust strategies to boost productivity.
• Contribute to the creation of an advertising and marketing strategy.
• Engage directly with staff and customers to foster relationships and resolve gaps in the sales process.
• Cultivate customer relationships to develop a referral network and expand the customer base.
• Provide comprehensive training and support to the team.
• Support sales managers in finalizing sales and enhancing customer acquisition.

Qualifications

• Proven track record of consistently meeting and surpassing sales targets.
• A high school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
• At least 3-5 years of experience in automotive management.
• Outstanding communication and customer service abilities.
• Knowledge of inventory management.
• Proficient in computer and telephone usage.
• Professional demeanor and strong work ethic.
• Driven, goal-focused, and capable of thriving in a dynamic setting.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license and a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report (MVR).
