Anderson Auto is seeking a service porter to become part of our team. The role involves coordinating with the service staff, assisting in vehicle inspections, and parking customer vehicles. This vital position significantly impacts the success of our business operations.

The Service Lot Porter supports the Service Department by checking cars for damage, parking new vehicles, and collaborating with team members and management. Our service customers anticipate outstanding service, and the lot porter is crucial in delivering a positive initial impression as customers enter the Service Department.

Essential Functions

• Tasks include comparing serial numbers of incoming cars with invoices, inspecting vehicles for damage, and verifying the presence of accessories listed on the invoice, such as spare tires and stereo equipment.
• Responsibilities also involve recording descriptions of damage and listing missing items on the delivery receipt, parking new cars in designated areas, and maximizing space utilization while maintaining the dealership lot.
• Duties extend to using the necessary equipment for cleaning and servicing auto parts, upholding the organization’s service standards and quality, and meeting specific customer requirements.
• Thorough vehicle inspections, maintenance of service tools and equipment, reporting any damages to the supervising manager, and coordinating with team members and management are also critical.
• Additional tasks and responsibilities may be assigned by the supervising manager as needed.

Required Education/Skills/Abilities

• Preferred qualifications include three years of licensed driving experience with a good driving record, a high school diploma or GED, and experience in washing/detailing cars, although this is not mandatory.
