Required Education/Skills/Abilities

  • Automotive experience helpful, but not required. Paid training will be provided.
  • Prior experience with oil changes and tire rotations preferred.
  • Three years licensed driving experience and good driving record preferred.
  • High School or GED preferred

Qualifications

Summary/Objective

Lube Technicians efficiently carry out tasks detailed in maintenance and repair orders, adhering to dealership standards, thereby enhancing the safety and comfort of our customers.

Essential Functions

  • Provides outstanding customer service to all patrons, both external and internal, by offering reliable vehicle services.
  • Conducts lube oil and filter services, tire rotations, and more, with professionalism.
  • Carries out necessary vehicle inspections.
  • Assesses management, production, and quality needs through inquiry and attentive listening.
  • Keeps equipment operational and workspaces safe, tidy, and well-organized.
  • Accepts service tasks from the service writer or manager.
  • Completes ‘lube’ jobs within the designated time frame.
  • Aims to set goals, enhance skills, and continually improve efficiency.
  • Ensures a clean and effective work area, contributing to the overall tidiness of the shop.
  • Ensures all paperwork is properly completed and filed post-service.
  • Stays up-to-date with technical skills by completing required training.
  • Ensures vehicles are returned cleaner than upon arrival.
  • Executes all responsibilities safely, promptly reporting any incidents or hazards to management.
  • Arrives for scheduled shifts punctually, prepared to fulfill job duties.
  • Complies with all organizational policies and procedures.
  • Undertakes additional duties as assigned.

Work Environment

This full-time position has varying days and hours to align with the service department’s operational hours, which regularly includes evenings and weekends.
