Anderson Auto is seeking a lube technician to become part of our team. The role of the lube technician involves carrying out maintenance and repairs on vehicles that are serviced at the dealership. This position plays a crucial role in supporting the success of our business operations.

Required Education/Skills/Abilities

  • Automotive experience is beneficial but not mandatory, as paid training is available.
  • Experience with oil changes and tire rotations is desirable.
  • A minimum of three years of licensed driving experience and a clean driving record are preferred.
  • A High School diploma or GED is also preferred.

Qualifications

Lube Technicians efficiently carry out tasks detailed in maintenance and repair orders, adhering to dealership standards, thereby ensuring the safety and comfort of our customers.

Essential Functions

  • Provides outstanding customer service to all patrons, both external and internal, by offering reliable vehicle services.
  • Conducts lube oil and filter services, tire rotations, and more with professionalism.
  • Carries out necessary vehicle inspections.
  • Assesses management, production, and quality needs through inquiry and attentive listening.
  • Keeps equipment operational and workspaces safe, tidy, and well-organized.
  • Accepts service tasks from the service writer or manager.
  • Completes ‘lube’ tasks within the designated time frame.
  • Aims to set goals, enhance skills, and continually improve efficiency.
  • Ensures a clean work environment and contributes to the shop’s overall orderliness.
  • Ensures all paperwork is properly completed and organized post-service.
  • Maintains up-to-date technical knowledge by completing required training.
  • Ensures vehicles are returned cleaner than upon arrival.
  • Safely executes all responsibilities, promptly reporting any incidents to management.
  • Arrives for scheduled shifts punctually, prepared to fulfill job duties.
  • Complies with all company policies and procedures.
  • Undertakes additional duties as assigned.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This full-time position has varying days and hours to align with the service department’s operational hours. It often involves working evenings and weekends.
