Lube Technicians efficiently carry out tasks detailed in maintenance and repair orders, adhering to dealership standards, thereby ensuring the safety and comfort of our customers.

Essential Functions

  • Provides outstanding customer service to all clients, both external and internal, by offering reliable vehicle services.
  • Conducts lube oil and filter services, tire rotations, and more, in a professional manner.
  • Carries out vehicle inspections as needed.
  • Assesses management, production, and quality requirements through inquiry and attentive listening.
  • Keeps equipment operational and the workspace safe, clean, and orderly.
  • Accepts service tasks from the service writer or manager.
  • Completes ‘lube’ work within the designated time frame.
  • Sets objectives, enhances skills, and continually improves efficiency.
  • Keeps the work area tidy and helps maintain shop organization.
  • Ensures all paperwork is properly completed and filed post-job.
  • Stays up-to-date with technical skills by completing necessary training.
  • Ensures vehicles are cleaner upon job completion than when received.
  • Executes all tasks safely, promptly reporting any incidents or hazards to management.
  • Arrives for scheduled shifts punctually, prepared to execute job duties.
  • Complies with all organizational policies and procedures.
  • Undertakes additional duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience

  • Automotive experience is beneficial but not mandatory, as paid training is available.
  • Candidates with prior experience in oil changes and tire rotations are preferred.
  • A minimum of three years of licensed driving experience and a clean driving record are also preferred.
  • A High School diploma or GED is advantageous.

Work Environment

In the course of performing their duties, employees frequently work in proximity to moving mechanical parts. They may also be exposed to fumes, airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and the risk of electric shock on occasion. Standard office equipment, including computers, telephones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines, are regularly used in this role.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This full-time position has varying days and hours to align with the service department’s operational hours, which regularly includes evenings and weekends.

Please note: Schedules may change. Whenever feasible, a two-week notice will be given for any schedule alterations.
