Responsibilities

  • Skillfully assess mechanical breakdown claims, ensuring customer issues, repair shop diagnoses, and damaged components align.
  • Confirm whether the breakdown qualifies for approval under the extended service contract terms.
  • Validate repair costs against “national labor time guides” for labor rates and duration, ensuring estimates align with guidelines and incorporate technical bulletins, recalls, and system notes during review.
  • Evaluate if a claim warrants a field inspection based on failure cause, estimated costs, and repair facility submissions.
  • Record all communications, research, verifications, and claim details thoroughly in the database.
  • Engage with customers, agents, dealers, and others to finalize claims investigations.
  • Collaborate with departments, fellow adjusters, and managers to explore solutions for claim resolution and approval.
  • Access data from the claim system and relay details to customers, dealers, repair shops, and vendors.

Minimum Qualifications

  • At least two years of practical experience in automotive repair and diagnostics as a Line Tech or Service Advisor, with expertise in major mechanical failures.
  • Must possess at least one ASE Certification.
  • Strong ability to negotiate effectively.
  • Skilled in computer use and data entry, particularly with Windows-based software.
  • Demonstrates polished phone manners and superior English communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Eager to grow and committed to assisting others.
  • Highly detail-oriented, reliable, and thorough in task completion.
  • Spanish fluency is an advantage.
