Anderson Powersports is seeking a parts advisor to become part of our dynamic team. In this role, you’ll assist both customers and mechanics in locating the necessary parts for their needs. This essential position plays a vital role in ensuring smooth business operations and enhancing customer satisfaction.

Essential Functions

  • Achieve monthly sales targets by selling parts to customers.
  • Supply mechanics with necessary parts and accessories from the counter.
  • Arrange seasonal parts and accessories attractively for display.
  • Manage files, reference materials, and other paperwork at the parts counter.
  • Notify the Parts Manager of any inventory or pricing discrepancies.
  • Maintain the master parts and pricing catalog.
  • Efficiently handle and fulfill service technicians’ orders, providing assistance as needed to determine required parts and accessories for each job.
  • Recommend specific parts and accessories when appropriate.
  • Keep the inventory control system and parts catalog updated.
  • Notify service staff when back-ordered or special-order parts arrive.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers promptly and courteously.
  • Ensure merchandise displays are clean, well-stocked, and appealing.
  • Gain proficiency in computer systems necessary for managing parts and accessories.
  • Communicate regularly and effectively with Assistant Service Managers (ASMs) and Service Advisors.
  • Perform all duties safely, promptly reporting any accidents, injuries, or unsafe conditions to management.
  • Arrive on time for scheduled work, ready to perform essential job functions.
  • Follow all company policies, procedures, and practices.
  • Undertake additional tasks as directed.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED is desirable.
  • Previous experience in sales or customer service is advantageous.
  • Basic knowledge of vehicle mechanics is beneficial.
  • Skilled in using computers for researching parts and equipment.
  • Must have a clean driving record.
  • Able to successfully pass a drug screening and background check.
