Responsibilities

  • Oversee the parts department, catering to both retail and wholesale customers.
  • Achieve goals through proper purchasing and inventory management.
  • Manage parts inventory and monitor all related expenses.
  • Collaborate with the Service Manager to guarantee the availability of parts for scheduled repairs.
  • Train and oversee parts counter associates to achieve departmental and company objectives; manage stock ordering processes.
  • Address and resolve customer complaints with courtesy and professionalism.
  • Stay informed about manufacturer warranties, policies, and return procedures.
  • Adhere to and enforce federal, state, and local regulations that impact operations.
  • Ensure employees adhere to work schedules and uphold policies regarding absenteeism, reporting, and punctuality.
  • Set and pursue departmental goals and objectives.
  • Recruit, train, motivate, advise, and evaluate the performance of parts department personnel.
  • Organize incoming inventory in the designated areas.
  • Keep inventory levels consistent with the needs of the service areas.
  • Set accurate pricing for parts and accessories using the correct references and maintain an updated computer system.
  • Enforce and execute safety protocols.
  • Exhibit the Company’s Values in all interactions with customers, colleagues, and suppliers.

Qualifications

  • Preferred qualifications include:
  • Over two years of related experience in an automotive parts management role
  • Two years of sales experience
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Professional demeanor and strong work ethic
  • High school diploma or equivalent qualification
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
