The Parts Manager supervises the Parts department, ensuring its operations contribute profitably to the dealership.

Responsibilities

• Responsibilities include hiring and overseeing the parts department staff, along with evaluating their performance.
• Ensuring appropriate inventory levels, managing obsolescence, and overseeing purchases for both manufacturer and aftermarket parts and accessories.
• Tasked with executing the annual physical inventory count and its reconciliation.
• Charged with setting targets and formulating new strategies, which encompass budget management and devising a marketing strategy to foster new and returning business.
• Staying current with manufacturer guidelines and best practices, serving as an intermediary with factory representatives.
• Upholding superior customer service standards by promptly addressing customer grievances in accordance with dealership guidelines.

Qualifications

• I have a history of progressive experience in parts department operations, culminating in the successful management of department functions and personnel.
• My expertise includes strong proficiency with Reynolds & Reynolds systems.
• I have a proven track record in parts inventory management and leadership abilities.
• My previous roles involved maintaining department profitability, controlling expenses, and achieving high customer satisfaction.
• I possess extensive knowledge of inventory management and robust communication skills for interacting with customers, employees, and vendors.
• I am knowledgeable about and comply with federal, state, and local regulations, including OSHA standards, hazardous waste disposal, and ethical practices.
