The Parts Manager position at Classic Toyota – Wilkesboro is crucial for the dealership, responsible for overseeing the parts department. The role offers a competitive annual salary range from $60,000 to $90,000, with semi-monthly payments. In addition to the base salary, there is potential to earn additional commission based on sales performance. The benefits package includes health, dental, and vision insurance, paid vacation, and a 401(k) retirement plan option.

Responsibilities:

  • Effectively manage and lead the parts department, encompassing staff, inventory, and overall operations.
  • Forecast and secure the necessary parts and accessories for the dealership, ensuring optimal stock levels and cost-effective pricing.
  • Cultivate and sustain relationships with suppliers and vendors.
  • Manage the order fulfillment process for both retail and wholesale customers, guaranteeing prompt and precise delivery.
  • Supervise and evaluate staff performance, offering training and development opportunities when necessary.
  • Address customer inquiries and complaints, ensuring swift and effective resolutions.
  • Adhere to all dealership policies and procedures, as well as local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Monitor and adjust inventory levels to reduce waste and enhance profitability.
  • Employ suitable software systems to monitor inventory, customer orders, and sales.
  • Produce and scrutinize reports to gauge department performance and pinpoint opportunities for enhancement.

Requirements:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required, while a Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field is preferred.
  • Candidates should have over three years of experience in parts management, ideally within the automotive industry.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills are essential, as is the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities are a must.
  • Proficiency with inventory management and tracking software, along with familiarity with sourcing and purchasing processes, is expected.
  • The role requires the ability to analyze data and produce reports, as well as an understanding of basic accounting and financial principles.
  • Applicants must be reliable, organized, and detail-oriented, capable of thriving under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
  • A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record are also required.
