The Parts Manager position offers a pay scale that includes a Base Salary Compensation ranging from $8,000.00 to $12,000.00. Additionally, this role may earn commission compensation based on the value or volume of closed sales, starting at $0.00 (if no sales are made) with no upper limit, contingent solely upon sales performance.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of high-performing parts personnel effectively.
  • Drive retail and wholesale parts performance to achieve the best service and retention in the market.
  • Ensure all employees adhere to their work schedules and the company’s absenteeism, reporting, and tardiness policies.
  • Forecast departmental goals and objectives and strive to meet them.
  • Hire, train, motivate, counsel, and monitor the performance of the parts department staff.
  • Assist customers in a courteous and professional manner, providing the information they need.
  • Supervise stock order procedures.
  • Ensure incoming inventory is stored in the correct location.
  • Maintain an inventory balance consistent with the needs of the specified areas.
  • Price parts and accessories accurately using the correct pricing source and keep the computer system updated.
  • Enforce safety protocols.
  • Exhibit behaviors aligned with the company’s values in all interactions with customers, co-workers, and vendors.

Qualifications

  • Required: Two or more years of related experience in an automotive parts management position.
  • Preferred: Two or more years of sales experience.
  • Essential: Excellent customer service skills, professional appearance and work ethic, and the ability to thrive in a process-driven environment.
  • Educational Requirement: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Additional Requirement: A valid driver’s license in the state of employment and a clean driving record.
