Parts Manager Responsibilities:

  • Set goals and objectives for the parts department.
  • Recruit, train, and evaluate the performance of parts department personnel.
  • Keep inventory levels in line with the needs of the various departments.
  • Establish pricing policies for different customer groups.
  • Monitor and adjust inventory as needed.
  • Ensure all parts are correctly labeled.
  • Oversee stock ordering processes.
  • Collaborate with the service manager and body shop manager to expedite the delivery of required parts.
  • Offer technical support when needed.
  • Implement and uphold guidelines for customer interactions to maximize satisfaction.
  • Uphold safety standards.

Parts Manager Requirements:

  • A minimum of two years’ experience in parts management is required, along with technical automotive knowledge.
  • The candidate should possess management experience and skills, be computer literate, have strong communication skills, and a basic understanding of inventory and reporting.
