Berglund Ford Mazda is in search of a talented and driven Sales Manager to become part of our team in Salem, Virginia. The position is a full-time, individual contributor role within the vibrant and fast-moving automotive industry. As the Sales Manager, your primary duty will be to boost sales and revenue for our dealership by efficiently managing and leading the sales team. Collaboration with other department managers will be key to guarantee a unified and prosperous business operation.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and inspire a team of sales professionals to meet both individual and collective sales goals.
  • Craft and execute sales strategies to boost revenue and expand market share.
  • Supervise daily sales operations, including client interactions, to guarantee exceptional customer service.
  • Educate and integrate new sales staff in alignment with our dealership’s standards and practices.
  • Collaborate with fellow department heads to secure efficient and lucrative dealership functions.
  • Foster and sustain customer relationships to encourage loyalty and recurrent business.
  • Perform consistent performance reviews, offering mentorship and constructive feedback to the sales personnel.
  • Remain informed about industry movements, competition, and market dynamics to guide strategic decisions.

Requirements:

  • At least 3-5 years of experience in automotive sales, preferably in a supervisory or management role
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong knowledge of the automobile industry and market trends
  • Ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions
  • Proficiency in using sales management software and tools
  • Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
