In the role of Sales Manager, you will oversee the dealership’s profitability by managing variable operations.

What you’ll be working on:

  • Provide hands-on training and active participation to coach the sales team on effective closing techniques.
  • Drive your teams towards achieving profitability.
  • Oversee all operations within the showroom while maintaining a deep understanding of product details.
  • Work towards high customer satisfaction ratings by analyzing metrics to pinpoint improvement opportunities.
  • Oversee the recruitment, motivation, and performance assessment of staff including New and Used teams, Internet Sales, Finance Managers, and Service Drive sales personnel.
  • Conduct daily and weekly training sessions for Product Specialists to enhance sales techniques.
  • Mentor both novice and experienced sales reps on best practices to boost their performance.
  • Develop, implement, and manage a CRM system to ensure consistent follow-up with potential customers.
  • Strive to meet or surpass set targets for sales, gross profits, and key expenses for both dealership and OEM on a monthly and yearly basis.

What you need to bring to the table:

  • A minimum of two years’ experience as a Sales Manager, overseeing all variable operations of a successful dealership is required.
  • The candidate should have a proven track record of assembling and coaching a sales team, achieving strong Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) scores, and generating above-average gross and net profits for the department.
  • A robust background in increasing showroom and internet traffic, utilizing SEO and SEM strategies, direct mail, and other traditional media is essential.
  • The candidate should also have extensive experience in leading a Business Development Center (BDC) and some experience with purchasing, merchandising, and marketing pre-owned vehicles.
  • Additionally, expertise in managing the daily activities of desk managers and enhancing Finance & Insurance (F&I) revenue through guidance and training is crucial.

Salary: $84,000 – $240,000/annually

*Pay is based on applicable experience and skills. This job is eligible for commissions based on individual sales metrics.
