We are in search of a friendly and driven individual to fill the role of Service Writer at our auto dealership. As a key member of our customer service team, you will serve as the initial point of contact for both walk-in and phone-in customers. Your responsibilities include helping customers identify their current repair or maintenance requirements, educating them on the advantages of regular maintenance schedules, and scheduling service appointments. You will collect customer vehicle information, conduct follow-up communications, and support all facets of customer service. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in automotive sales or repair, with particular value placed on experience as a Service Writer. The role demands moderate computer skills, excellent organizational abilities, and outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.

Service Writer Duties and Responsibilities

• Welcome customers and manage phone inquiries.
• Assist customers in identifying their service and maintenance requirements.
• Inform customers about regular maintenance schedules and their advantages.
• Document all relevant information concerning the customer’s vehicle.
• Conduct follow-up communications via calls and emails.
• Schedule, modify, and cancel service appointments as needed.

Service Writer Requirements and Qualifications

• Requirements:
• High school diploma or GED certificate.
• Previous experience in automotive sales or repair.
• Prior role as a Service Writer strongly preferred.
• Proficient with standard office and productivity software.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must possess a valid Driver’s License.
• Experience with Reynolds systems is advantageous.
• Bilingual abilities are beneficial.
