We are in search of a seasoned Service Manager with a strong motivation and a track record of achieving results to head our well-established service department. The successful candidate will oversee and inspire a team of service professionals, guarantee the efficient functioning of the service department, and fulfill financial goals.

Qualifications:

  • Experience as a Service Manager with a proven track record of success is required.
  • The candidate must possess excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • A strong technical understanding of automotive systems and the repair process is essential.
  • The ability to manage and inspire a team is crucial, as are robust problem-solving abilities.
  • Applicants must be at least eighteen years old and hold a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure an exceptional customer experience throughout the service process.
  • Organize and manage the service department’s daily operations.
  • Set and pursue goals and objectives for the service department.
  • Recruit, train, motivate, advise, and evaluate the performance of service staff.
  • Promote a positive and cooperative team environment through effective communication.
  • Create marketing strategies to attract new and returning customers.
  • Comply with safety protocols, including the disposal of hazardous waste and adherence to OSHA regulations.
  • Track technicians’ daily productivity and manage payroll records.
  • Keep precise records of repair orders, warranty claims, and other customer details.
  • Build strong relationships with GM Factory Representatives and other suppliers.
  • Guarantee the proper maintenance, storage, and inventory of special tools.
  • Ensure all customers receive a warm welcome and accurate estimates of costs and time.
  • Handle customer complaints promptly and in accordance with the dealership’s policies.
  • Implement and uphold a 24-hour follow-up policy with all customers to ensure service satisfaction.
