Anderson is seeking a technician to join our team. The technician will be responsible for performing services and/or repairs on customer vehicles brought into the shop. This a crucial role that directly contributes to the success of our business.

Essential Functions

• Conducts general repair and replacement services, including brake pads and shoes, wheel alignment, steering and suspension components, wheel bearings, exhaust systems, heating and cooling systems, air conditioning, drive train, and accessory installations.
• forms maintenance services, including oil changes fluid exchanges, filter replacement, fuel system, preventative maintenance, and belt and hose.
• forms evaluation services, including charging system, inspections, fluid leak evaluations, and tire pressure and tread depth readings Conducts visual safety and courtesy inspections.
• Performs diagnostic services, including emissions systems, drivability concerns overheating, ABS and SRS systems, electrical and air conditioning systems.
• Performs advanced repair and replacement services, including timing belts, intake manifold gaskets, head gaskets, brake hydraulics rear main seal, clutch, bearings, steering gear, sensors, switches, and modules.
• Uses factory specifications as the in all repair, service, and customization work.
• Makes 100% productivity the goal and strives to keep as close to that possible.
• Receives service assignments from the service writer or service manager.
• Completes work within the allotted time.
• Sets goals, develops skills, and constantly increases skill level.
• Submits parts requests as soon as it is determined is required for a particular job.
• Keeps the writer or service manager informed of any work may be required or of delays to estimated time so they can receive up-to-date information Aids the service advisor as needed to write work orders, conduct test rides, interact customers, or in any other way to guarantee customer.
• Ensures proper paperwork is completed and filed after every job completion.

Requirements

• 2 to 5 years’ experience in an automotive related technician/mechanic role.
• High School or GED preferred
• ASE certification preferred but not required
• Valid U.S. Drivers License, clean driving history
• Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies and processes, and adapt to change
• Ability to innovate, solve complex issues, and present new ideas
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions with attention to detail
• Proven ability to effectively handle multiple priorities, organize workload, and meet deadlines
• Experience working in a team-based environment and achieving common goals
• Evidence of a “safety first” attitude
• Basic command of the English language
• Basic computer skills, including navigating web browsers and using standard applications
