We are seeking a Service Technician to become part of our expanding team. The ideal candidate should possess prior experience in the automotive field and demonstrate outstanding customer service abilities.

Minimum experience required: 2 years.
ASE certifications are advantageous.
Possession of a smog license is beneficial.

Experienced Service Technician
Heavy Line Technician
Transmission Technician
Master Service Technician

Service Technician Responsibilities

• Carry out the tasks specified on the repair order efficiently and in line with dealership policies.
• Test-drive vehicles and assess components and systems using diagnostic tools and specialized service equipment.
• Diagnose, service, and repair various automotive systems such as the engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, and air conditioning.
• Engage directly with the Service Advisor to ensure customers are informed about any additional services required and offer an estimated time for any extra repairs.
• Perform warranty repairs according to the manufacturer’s specifications.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in an automotive dealership is essential, as is a solid grasp of the service drive.
• Experience requirements may vary depending on the position.
• A high school diploma or its equivalent is necessary.
• The role demands dexterity for steady hands and excellent hand-eye coordination.
• Mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting abilities are crucial, along with outstanding customer service skills.
• Basic computer knowledge is required.
• A positive and friendly demeanor, coupled with a customer service orientation, is important.
• The candidate should enjoy a dynamic work environment and be a collaborative team player.
• There’s a need for an aptitude to learn new technologies, repair techniques, and service procedures.
• Proficiency in using electronic diagnostic tools is a must.
• A valid driver’s license with a clean record is required.
• The candidate must be open to undergoing a pre-employment drug screening and background check.
