Responsibilities

• Carry out the tasks specified on the repair order efficiently and in compliance with dealership standards.
• Test-drive vehicles and evaluate components and systems using diagnostic tools and specialized service equipment.
• Diagnose, service, and repair various automotive systems such as the engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, and air conditioning.
• Engage in direct communication with the Service Advisor to ensure customers are informed about any additional services required and offer an estimated time for any further repairs.
• Perform warranty repairs according to the manufacturer’s specifications.

Qualifications

• Preferred qualifications include over two years of experience as an Automobile Dealership Service Technician and General Motors Technician Training.
• A high school diploma or equivalent, along with ASE Certification, is required. Applicants should have B level qualifications, encompassing Diagnostic, Electrical, and Engine Repair.
• Necessary skills include dexterity with a steady hand, excellent hand-eye coordination, mechanical and troubleshooting abilities, and proficiency in operating electronic diagnostic equipment.
• Strong customer service skills and basic computer knowledge are essential.
• Candidates should possess a positive and friendly demeanor, a willingness to learn, and an eagerness to continually improve.
• The ability to work well in a dynamic environment and collaborate effectively with teammates is important.
• Applicants must be open to learning new technology, repair, and service procedures and specifications.
• A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is required, and candidates must be willing to undergo a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
