Our shops are bustling, and we’re in search of an experienced Transmission Technician to become part of our team!

Responsibilities

  • Carry out the tasks specified in the repair order efficiently and in line with dealership standards.
  • Test drive vehicles and evaluate components and systems using diagnostic tools and specialized service equipment.
  • Diagnose, maintain, and repair automotive systems of vehicles.
  • Engage in direct communication with the Service Advisor to ensure customers are informed of any additional services required.
  • Offer time estimates for any further repairs needed.
  • Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications
  • Test to check systems and components are secure and working properly.
  • Isolate the systems or components that might have caused the problem.

Qualifications

  • Deep understanding of automobiles and speedy diagnostic abilities
  • Effective analytical and communication skills and eagerness to improve
  • Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specifications
  • Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
  • High School Diploma or GED (required)
  • ASE Certification/Technical degree (required)
  • One year in a service department
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Drive the vehicle for testing purposes.
  • Maintain efficiency and accuracy in diagnosing as well as repairing vehicles.
  • Repair or replace worn parts ahead of the vehicle’s breakdown or damage.
  • Use power tools, machine tools, and common hand tools to perform various tasks.

Requirements 

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience is REQUIRED
  • Knowledge in all aspects of automotive repair and maintenance
  • Fast, eager learner and team player
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
  • Clean driving record & valid driver’s license
