We are in search of a General Sales Manager to become a part of our expanding team. The ideal candidate should be driven by goals and possess outstanding interpersonal and communication skills. They will be tasked with securing the sales department’s overall success and offering leadership and direction to the staff.

Responsibilities

• Oversee profitability in both new and used vehicle divisions.
• Formulate and implement a strategic plan to meet monthly and yearly projections for new and used vehicle divisions.
• Recruit, train, and evaluate the performance of sales managers, finance managers, and sales associates.
• Ensure excellent customer service (CSI) is maintained through dealership culture.
• Regularly review key sales metrics and adjust strategies to boost production.
• Contribute to the creation of an advertising and marketing strategy.
• Engage directly with staff and customers to foster relationships and resolve gaps in the sales process.
• Cultivate customer relationships to create a referral network and expand the customer base.
• Provide comprehensive training and support to the team.
• Support sales managers in finalizing sales and enhancing customer acquisition.

Qualifications

• Consistent track record of successfully meeting and exceeding sales goals
• Minimum high school diploma or GED equivalent required
• Minimum 3-5 years of automotive management experience
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Understanding of inventory control
• Strong computer and phone skills
• Professional appearance and work ethic
• Ambitious, goal oriented, and able to work within a dynamic environment
• Valid driver’s license and satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report (MVR)
