Anderson Powersports is looking for an internet product specialist to join our team. The internet product specialist is responsible for helping customers through online leads and providing exceptional customer service. This is an important job that directly contributes to the success of business operations.

Essential Functions

  • Respond to Internet inquiries: Ensure timely responses to meet clients’ needs.
  • Thorough Product Knowledge: Have comprehensive knowledge of all dealership products, inventory, and services.
  • Outstanding Customer Service: Provide a friendly environment by greeting and acknowledging every customer, maintaining high standards, and demonstrating solid product knowledge.
  • Vehicle Sales: Responsible for selling vehicles, meeting volume and customer satisfaction standards set by the dealership.
  • Sales Coordination: Work with the sales manager to set and achieve new and used sales quotas, and meet profit margin goals for vehicle sales.
  • Customer Interaction: Be polite, friendly, and greet customers promptly. Consistently follow the outlined sales process.
  • Effective Floor Time Utilization: Meet customer needs and solicit sales efficiently during floor time.
  • Needs Assessment: Determine each customer’s vehicle needs through questions and active listening.
  • Vehicle Demonstration: Demonstrate and conduct test drives of vehicles.
  • Customer Qualification: Verify that customers are qualified based on their wants, needs, and ability to buy.
  • Product Familiarity: Maintain current knowledge of new products, features, accessories, and their benefits.
  • Owner Follow-Up System: Encourage repeat and referral business through a robust follow-up system.
  • Automobile Terminology: Understand the terminology of the automobile business and stay updated on product technology changes.
  • Pre-Delivery Inspection: Perform pre-delivery inspections and road tests before delivering vehicles to customers.
  • Vehicle Delivery: Ensure customers understand the vehicle’s operating features, warranty, and paperwork, laying the foundation for customer loyalty.
  • Telephone Transactions: Conduct telephone transactions courteously and promptly.
  • Customer Complaints: Handle customer complaints sensibly with empathy and a pleasant attitude to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Legal Knowledge: Understand and comply with federal, state, and local laws governing retail auto sales.
  • Training and Meetings: Attend relevant training sessions and sales meetings to stay current with sales techniques and department concerns.
  • Safety: Perform all duties safely, reporting any accidents, injuries, or unsafe conditions to management immediately.
  • Punctuality: Show up to work as scheduled, on time, ready, and able to perform essential job functions.
  • Driving: Drive company and/or customer vehicles when required.
  • Adherence to Policies: Follow all company policies, procedures, and practices.
  • Additional Tasks: Perform other tasks as directed by management.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Possess a high school diploma or GED.
  • Have 1-3 years of sales or customer service experience.
  • Automotive sales experience is a plus, but not mandatory.
  • Thrive in a team environment.
  • Maintain an upbeat and positive attitude.
  • Demonstrate dedication and reliability.
  • Hold a clean driving record.
  • Successfully pass a drug screening and background check.
