The IT Manager role in Planning and Operations encompasses IT Strategy & Planning, IT Financial Management, IT Operations and Management, IT Vendor Management, IT Workforce Planning, and Resource Management. The individual in this position is responsible for developing and implementing strategic and operational plans for IT Operations & Technology, as well as centrally coordinating all IT business office functions. The ideal candidate will display a proactive attitude, tackling work with energy and determination. The ideal candidate possesses a robust background in IT Management Planning, with a proven track record of executing multiple transformational workforce projects, preferably within the Automotive or Industrial sectors. Role:

  • Develop an IT workforce strategy in collaboration with all IT functions.
  • Identify necessary training and staff development programs.
  • Coordinate resource planning forecasting and budgeting for the Information leadership team.
  • Responsibilities include monitoring resource management applications, evaluating post-analysis IT team statistics, and reporting on program-related activities.
  • Act as a strategy advisor and subject-matter expert for all IT workforce planning activities.
  • Regularly assess existing workforce plans for practical skill and technology alignment.
  • Create detailed IT workforce budgets based on historical performance/trends and benchmark against industry best practices.
  • Oversee the operation of the dealership-wide computer system and peripherals.
  • Establish, monitor, and maintain the dealership network environment, directories, and security, including backups of all files, security, and rights.
  • Utilize knowledge in maintaining and operating computer hardware, operating systems, and related software applications.
  • Train staff in the use of dealership and manufacturer computer systems.
  • Manage the purchase of computer hardware, software, and peripherals.
  • Coordinate the installation and maintenance of equipment with department managers to minimize communication disruptions and ensure operational efficiency.
  • Support department heads in implementing and maximizing management information systems.
  • Design, develop, and update computer-generated forms, manuals, management reports, and other requested items.
  • Perform other assigned tasks.

Qualifications:

  • Over two years of IT management experience with a focus on organizational strategy and planning, preferably within the automotive or industrial sector.
  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required.
  • Demonstrated expertise in IT trends pertinent to manufacturing, automotive, or renewable industries.
  • A proven track record of working creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment.
  • Excellent project management skills with proficiency in project management frameworks and tools.
  • Ability to thrive in high-pressure situations and excel in executive decision-making, providing clear advantages/disadvantages and cost/benefit analysis.
  • Experienced in leading teams both directly and indirectly, with the capability to delegate effectively.
  • A strong passion for excellence and delivering business value.
  • Skilled in leading or managing small teams, effectively planning and structuring analytical work.
  • A history of achieving results that significantly improve the IT customer experience. Robust communication skills, capable of influencing and directing complex projects with diverse stakeholders.
  • Outstanding analytical and interpersonal communication abilities.
  • Proven leadership in facilitating problem-solving and cross-functional teams.
