Join the Anderson Auto team as a part-time Service Porter! Your role will include ensuring the shop and company grounds are spotless, and offering transportation for our customers to and from their homes. This vital position plays a key role in the success of our business operations.

Essential Functions

• Maintain the cleanliness of the lot and shop.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and professional environment.
• Always drive safely, wearing a seat belt, and observing the 5 MPH speed limit on dealership property.
• Obtain manager approval prior to driving any company vehicle off the premises.
• Maintain a clean and professional appearance.
• Ensure customer satisfaction by:
• Performing work correctly the first time to prevent comebacks.
• Ensuring vehicles are completely clean.
• Giving all comebacks #1 priority.
• Detailing customer vehicles when work is completed.
• Do not smoke in any vehicle or change the radio settings.
• If seats are readjusted, put them back to their prior position.
• Communicate with the Service Department about the status of jobs.
• Report any problems to the Service Manager immediately.
• Perform other tasks as directed.
• Perform all duties in a safe manner, reporting any accidents, injuries, or unsafe conditions to management immediately.
• Show up to work as scheduled, on time, ready, and able to perform essential job functions.
• Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and practices.

Required Education and Experience

• A minimum of three years of licensed driving experience with a good driving record is preferred.
• A High School diploma or GED is preferred.
• Previous experience in washing and detailing cars is preferred but not required.
• Must consistently demonstrate safe and responsible behavior.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

• Flexible Hours: Days and hours will vary to align with the service department’s needs.
• Evening and Weekend Availability: Regular work during evenings and weekends is required.

Note: Schedule changes may occur, with a two-week notice provided whenever possible.
